"*sigh* I just can't catch a break..."

Well, now that NCRF is done, I can share my sad news. I didn't want to let it out while I was in NC and bring everyone down while they had to work. I had a good time (details to come) but I was kind of distracted and subdued all weekend.

I got laid off on Friday. Again.

The background story is that the goverment agency I worked at is required to do a study to determine what part of their workforce is to be outsourced. Well, this has resulted in a mad scramble by the department heads for actual work for the government employees to do. The end result is that much of the computer maintenance and helpdesk duties are now being shuffled off to the government people. So even though we have a contract, apparently the government can make changes any ole time they want. They decided we had to get rid of four people so... out I went.

So once again I'm looking for work. I've had banking/mortgage experience, several years of administrative experience and for the last two and a half years I've been doing helpdesk and tech work.
