"Ho-Hum"

Just poking my nose in here to see if anyone is actually checking this site anymore. *sigh* I know I've been slack about posting this month but I just haven't felt in any way motivated. I don't know if it's a seasonal depression thing or exhaustion or being sick the last couple of weeks.

Of course it's not like there has really been anything interesting happening. Work is going along and even though today I'm not all that busy I think things are going to pick up significantly for me in the next few months. I'm getting a lot more actual responsibility. Plus they're coming out with this thing called an IDP (Individual Development Plan) that will be directly related to our yearly performance reviews. For me, this is a good thing. I work much better with a clearly defined list of things to accomplish than general subjective things like "attitude", "helpfulness", or "arriving to work on time".

Okay, so that last one's not subjective so much but you know what I mean.

Right now I'm writing to you from a conference room as they are dismantling my cubicle. Actually they're dismantling two cubicles (which they promised to do "soon" after we all moved in there in Febuary.) because those two daily house three people. The larger of the two used to be home to my supervisor because y'know, since she's the boss, she got to choose which one she wanted. Finally they are getting around to taking some of her space away, lengthening our cubicle, and taking the surplus wooden government desk out of there and giving me a "real" cubicle desk.

So hopefully on Friday I can move my computer and assorted crap out of the conference room back to my old cubicle and brand new desk. Yay! And just because I'm in that kind of mood (and to see how many or you pay attention) I'm going to give something away. I have no idea what book yet because I need to go home and see what I have. However, I assure you it shall be cool. Or at least used.
