Would it be a better idea to carry one rose or several while walking about the shire? Why are you of this opinion?

As the "Loyal Reader", let me re-iterate my point... carrying more than one rose about with you is just the "rogueish" thing to do...
Speaking as a woman to whom *strange* (meaning unknown to me) men have presented roses... let me assure you that there is something terribly disconcerting about an extremely earnest suitor... if i see that he has many roses to bestow as he sees fit, i feel a little less threatened, and actually feel like i must compete for his attentions... (as the rogue in this scenario, let me assure you this is a *good* thing from your perspective...)
I could write more, but why? im right, afterall. Just shoosh and do as I say. So there.

I think you should carry many roses, in a quiver strapped to your back. And you could wear a tartan loincloth instead of a kilt, and little cherub wings .... you could flit about from wench to wench, delivering your Arrows of Luv (tm), inciting great swooning and pounding pulses ... Myths and legends would grow around you like hyacinths ...
