"Where the circus comes to town..."

The Ringling Bros., Barnum & Bailey Circus, The Greatest Show on Earth, was at the DC Armory this last week and on Saturday night I took the Clanlad, his mother and my mother to see it. The Clanlad was very excited and "oohed" and "ahhed" a lot. Having dated a professional clown, I was a little more aware of the behind the scenes aspects. So the animals, clowns and gymnastics didn't impress me. What impressed me was John Weis. I saw him on a t.v. documentary a couple years ago. He does some clowning, but his main gig is as the Human Cannonball. Not a job that I would want, but hey, at least he gets a bang out of his job.

The Circus pics look great! I assume these were taken with the new digital ClanCamera? I must find out what model you have because the quality is impressive... and yes: your new method for displaying pics rocks. (ooooh, so jealous) Must learn secret ClanCodes for doing same..... plotplotplot.

Glad you & the Clanlad had a chance to see the Big Show. As always, lots of First of Mays on the circuit & only four or five PERFORMERS, but hey, after what Feld pays them...why should the good ones stay?!!! I saw it here in Raleigh & enjoyed it as well - despite the fact I know all the secrets, too. Also enjoyed the daffodil pics.
